Indications This diet is indicated for chronic renal insufficiency (azotemic CKD, IRIS stage 2–4) and chronic kidney disease with proteinuria (IRIS stage 1–4).

Nutritional composition The diet contains 14% protein, 18% fat, and 2.4% fiber. The mineral balance includes 0.4% calcium, 0.2% phosphorus, 0.6% potassium, and 0.35% sodium. Essential fatty acids are present at 4.08%, with EPA and DHA together at 0.47%. Urine alkalinization is supported by potassium citrate and calcium carbonate.
