Veterinary Diet for Dogs with Urinary Stones/Crystals

Against struvite This diet, together with medical treatment, helps dissolve struvite crystals and stones, while also helping to prevent further formation.

Against calcium oxalate Helps reduce the risk of recurrent calcium oxalate crystal formation.

Low RSS value RSS (Relative Supersaturation) is a technique used to assess the risk of crystal formation in urine. The lower the RSS value, the lower the risk of crystal formation.

Urine dilution Increased urine volume helps reduce the risk of crystal formation.

Low magnesium content Low magnesium levels, since magnesium naturally occurs in struvite crystals.

Indications To dissolve crystals, help prevent crystal formation, and support bladder health in cases of bacterial cystitis.

Nutritional composition The diet contains 18.0% protein, 17.0% fat, 2.2% fiber, 0.5% calcium, 0.5% phosphorus, 1.1% sodium, 2.14% chloride, 0.8% potassium, 0.04% magnesium, 0.5% sulfur. Urinary acidifying agents include calcium sulfate 0.88% and DL-methionine 0.6%. EPA and DHA are 0.21%.

Additional guidance Regular monitoring of urine, including pH measurements, is recommended while using this diet to ensure pH levels do not become too high, as this can vary between individual dogs.
