Veterinary Wet Diet for Cats with Renal Insufficiency

Specifically formulated to support kidney function in cats diagnosed with chronic kidney disease. The diet contains EPA and DHA, antioxidants, and a reduced level of phosphorus.

Kidney support Excessive strain on the kidneys can increase the risk of urinary tract problems. An adapted level of high-quality protein together with reduced phosphorus helps to lessen the workload on the kidneys.

Metabolic balance Chronic kidney disease can lead to metabolic acidosis. This diet is formulated with alkalinizing agents to help balance the acid-base metabolism.

Indications This diet is recommended for azotemic chronic kidney disease (IRIS stage 2–4). It also supports the management of recurrent calcium oxalate uroliths in cats with renal insufficiency, and helps prevent the recurrence of urate and cystine uroliths by promoting urine pH balance.

Nutritional composition The diet contains 6.6% protein, 6.0% fat, and 1.0% fiber. Moisture content is 80.0%. The mineral balance includes 0.14% calcium, 0.09% phosphorus, 0.18% potassium, 0.08% sodium, and 0.016% magnesium.
